Four things, done properly

On site servicing, repairs, electrical diagnostics and air conditioning. That is the whole list, and it covers everything from a family hatchback to a header sitting in a paddock in February.

On site servicing

Your service done at your house, your workplace or your yard, so the car never leaves the driveway and you never lose half a day to a workshop waiting room.

  • Logbook style servicing
  • Filters, fluids and checks
  • At your home or work

Repairs

Mechanical repair work carried out on the spot wherever it can be, from brakes and belts through to a timing belt and water pump replacement.

  • Timing belts and water pumps
  • Mechanical fault repair
  • Truck and machinery work

Electrical diagnostics

Warning lights, intermittent faults and wiring that has been hacked about by somebody else. Faults are traced with a scan tool, a breakout box and a meter, not guessed at.

  • Engine and system fault codes
  • Wiring repair and tidy up
  • Light bars and accessories

Air conditioning

Automotive air conditioning on anything with a cab. Regas, leak finding, condensers and evaporators, on cars and on the machinery that has to keep working through a Riverina summer.

  • Regas and leak diagnosis
  • Condenser and evaporator work
  • Tractors, headers and trucks

Half the job is getting there

A tractor with no air conditioning does not drive itself into town, and a truck with a fault is not much use on the back of a tow truck either. So the van comes to you, with the gas, the vacuum pump, the gauges and the scan tools already on board.

That means cabs get fixed where they sit, whether that is a shed, a stock yard, a roadside or a paddock with a gum tree for shade.

Run by Jayden, out of Corowa

JC Mobile Automotive Repair & Electrical has been on the road around Corowa since 2024. Customers tend to name Jayden in their reviews rather than the business, which is usually a fair sign of who is actually turning up and doing the work.

The work spans two trades that normally sit in separate buildings. One day it is a logbook service in somebody's driveway, the next it is chasing an intermittent electrical fault through a wiring loom, or pulling a dash out to get at a heater box. It is the same van either way.

Trading in and around Corowa since August that year.

A Fluke multimeter, a Blue-Point diagnostic breakout box and a Snap-on scan tool in use on a vehicle

Faults get traced, not guessed

A warning light on the dash is a symptom, not a diagnosis. Codes get read with a scan tool, circuits get checked with a breakout box and a meter, and the fault gets found before anything is replaced. It is slower to start with and a great deal cheaper than changing parts until the light goes out.

Twelve volt work for people who actually go bush

Dual battery and lithium systems, chargers, light bars, and the trailer wiring that always seems to fail on the first morning of a trip. Corowa sits on the Murray with caravan parks either side of the bridge, so a snapped seven pin plug or a dead Anderson lead is a fairly regular call.

Accessories get wired in properly, fused and tidied, rather than tapped into whatever wire happened to be nearby.

  • Dual battery systems
  • Lithium setups and chargers
  • Light bars and driving lights
  • Seven pin and Anderson plugs
  • Trailer and caravan wiring
  • Fault finding on old looms

Had a check engine light on my dash, and Jayden was able to sort it out quickly. Ended up getting my service done as well since he could do it after hours, super convenient! The car drives better than ever, and I have no idea what other mechanics were doing before. Jayden really knows his stuff. I’ll be booking him for my timing belt and water pump next service. Friendly, reliable, and highly recommended!

I had my car serviced by Jayden at JC Automotive. Super thorough, really friendly and convenient. He was able to service my car at my house on a working from home day which is really convenient for me as I work out of town. He was professional and friendly. Thanks Jayden!

Recent work

A few jobs from around the district. All of these are our own photographs of our own work.

A new air conditioning hose being fitted to a machine engine bay
New air conditioning hose going onto a machine out in the dirt
A heater and evaporator assembly removed from a vehicle and laid out on the floor
Heater box stripped out so the evaporator can be replaced
A machinery air conditioning condenser completely blocked with dust
A condenser packed solid with dust, which is why the cab stopped cooling
